Many mistake attachment to spiritual concepts for actual freedom. Those who are intoxicated with spiritual attachment are still attached to the world. They use their practices or beliefs to fuel a sense of superiority, yet they are driven by the same fundamental desires.
Their every desire is always burning them, because when people pursue life, they pursue pleasure, and pain and fire always follow them.
Their perception is veiled. Their eyes are always covered with the veil of lust and desire. Because of this blindness, they continue to sit in darkness, pursuing all illusions.
The Emptiness Behind the Feelings
The path to true sight requires a radical pause: So stop for a moment and open your eyes.
You are not fundamentally attached to the world outside, but to a bundle of feelings that are within you. You are clinging to the temporary sensations of joy, sorrow, fear, and desire, believing that you are those feelings.
The ultimate realization is that there is nothing behind those feelings; they are empty and false.They are simply waves on the surface, not the ocean itself.
Until you realize this, you are caught in the deepest paradox: You are in emptiness and pursuing emptiness.
The Truth of the Magical Battle
When the illusion finally breaks, you realize your entire life has been a magical battle—a futile war against the inherent imperfection of existence.
Your life is a magical phenomenon in a world of emptiness. The stage is set, the drama is real, but no one has ever truly existed there as a separate, concrete self.
Therefore, walk knowing all the truth. See the emptiness of the world and the emptiness of the “self” that struggles against it. Finally, be free from yourself. Become pure!
